Description: Crepuscular and Anti-crepsucular clouds seen over the vast Wealden plain of West Sussex. During the Summer months storms build over the Weald and can cause some tremndous cloud formations. This evening on Devils Dyke saw such a scene in progress, creating a dramatic photo opportunity. Bury Hill can be seen in the far distnace in the golden light.

Description: A superb Sunrise in February after a very cold night had frozen the high tide at Bosham Harbour. When the tide receeded, it left behind an array of broken ice sheets on top of the grass. The Pink cloud and earth shadow was the icing on the cake.

The early moring mist adds a calm and peacefull feeling to the busy world below. The beautiful orange glow was aided by the high altitude dust particles ejected from the Icelandic Volcano. This image consits of 6 vertical frames stitched to form a very high resolution photograph capable of massive reproduction sizes.

Description: This Sunset image of the Bosham Harbour was taken from a small gravel path that crosses the mud flats. A step either side of this path leaves your shoes in a rather sticky state, though worse could happen to the unwary as knee deep mud is only a wrong step away! The late warm glow adds a delightful feeling to the scene as the light just kisses the hull of the two boats resting on there side.

Description: The high altitude volcanic dust gave some beautiful colour across the southern sky of the UK. This particular evening also had some coastal fog rolling in over the South Downs National Park, adding another greta element in to the scene. This colour is almost unedited as any more saturation, it would be unbeleiveable to most.

Description: High above the Sussex Weald, the South Downs National Park has a wealh of beautiful landscapes. Here we can see the last golden light touching down on Chanctonbury Hill in the far distance. The Downs deflect much of the snow, either pushing it along the coast or helping protect the foothills from large amounts of snow. There is barely two inches on the ground, yet towards Horhsam inland there was 3-4 inches!

Description: Chanctonbury Hill commands a high spot in West Sussex Downland and is a major feature of the new South Dwons National Park. During the heavy snowfall of early December i took on the arduous walk up to the summit through freezing fog and deep snow. Its a fairly unique image of the trees in this amount of snow and from this angle.

Description: Taken during the heavy snow fall of December 2010, this field of sheep where finding food hard to come by as the depth of snow prevented them finding the grass. The farmer had placed several bales of hay within the field for them. In the background you can see Chanctonbury Hill and the famous hill fort.

Description: On arrival at Devils Dyke, the light was changing very quickly with some fantastic beams of light eminating from the sky. only once in a while do such beautiful examples of these crepuscular rays come so close you could actually reach them! As the light was fleeting and moving at such a pace, i knew that a panoramic image of three exposures had to be taken as quick as possible. My normal approach of belending numerous exposure was not an option, so i opted for the traditional ND grad filters. when home and processing them, i still needed to double process the file before stitching this panoramic, a lot of work, but well woth the effort!
